You wouldn't have got great odds before the Foster's World Championships on Sue Thompson and Emma Cunningham contesting tomorrow's ladies singles final.
And those who predicted they'd cross cues again for the trophy have been proved right.
It will be their sixth final since Thompson ran out an 8-2 winner in 2004.
Newry born Cunningham gained her only success 12 months later before Thompson won their three other meetings, including last year's success.
Hull based Thompson is now just eight frames away from winning the title for a 10th time.
The defending champion sounded a warning to Cunningham with a 7-0 semi-final thrashing of England rival Liesa Conlin.
Northern Ireland ace Cunningham defeated 2008 runner-up and 2010 World Masters finalist Barbara Taylor 7-2.
The winner of tomorrow afternoon's game will pocket £2,000.
