Colin Lloyd claimed his second win of 2010 with victory over Colin Osborne in the seventh UK Open qualifier on Sunday.
The 6-3 final triumph ensures 'Jaws' will enter June's UK Open event at the last 64 stage in round three.
Having overcome Andy Fordham and Alan Tabern in the opening rounds, Lloyd then defeated Essex rival Wayne Mardle and Yorkshire's Chris Thompson to reach the last eight.
Back-to-back 6-3 victories over Wayne Jones and Mark Walsh followed as Lloyd moved within one win of the £6,000 prize.
Awaiting him in the final was Derby dartist Osborne, fresh from taking the scalps of Premier League stars Simon Whitlock and Ronnie Baxter earlier in the day.
However, it was Lloyd who hit his straps in the final, finishing the match in style with a 12-darter.
Saturday had seen Wes Newton record his second PDC Tour win with victory over Andy Smith in the final of the Players Championship at the same venue.
'Av it' saw off Terry Jenkins, Osborne and Andy Hamilton before overcoming the 'Pie Man' 6-2 in the final.
